IT Senior Project (Spring 2005)
- Andrew Wong

- Review of documentation produced by previous student. Installation of Debian Woody (3.0) on optiplex GX100 and constitution of a 3 nodes private LAN running OpenSSI 1.2 clustering software. Reception of new hardware (Penguin Computing's Relion 2000, Dell's GX280, switch, ...) and installation of Debian 3.0 on the master node (many driver problems). Construction of custom Debian network installation CDs.
- The results obtained with the GX100 were not fully replicated on the new hardware by the end of the project but very shortly after.

IT Senior Project (Fall 2004)
- Barry Cohen
- 3 credits, supervised by Alessio
- Installation of Debian Woody (3.0) on optiplex GX100 decommitionned from classrooms by USF at Lakeland's ERDC. Creation of a private LAN with a "master node" serving as gateway to the internet. Installation of the "cluster"'s nodes and experimentation with booting them over the network using etherboot. Adaptation of a Installing Debian + installing Open SSI howto.
- Time was missing to experiment further with Open SSI.
